Grammy-nominated composer Tim Story reunites with filmmakers for powerful new CD release
FINDLAY, Ohio (July 2, 2025) – Grammy-nominated composer Tim Story has released Music for Activismo, the official soundtrack for the award-winning documentary Activismo: Art & Dissidence in Cuba. The CD reunites Story with co-directors and co-producers Carole Elchert and Philip Sugden, following their earlier collaboration on the PBS special "White Lotus." Packaged in a 6-panel case with a soft matte finish, the CD includes Story’s complete original soundtrack, exclusive liner notes detailing his creative process, and a curated selection of striking images from the film.
“Creating this soundtrack meant diving deep into the emotional truth behind every frame,” Story said. “It was about finding the right sonic language to echo both oppression and hope.”
